Mark Suster did an amazing job outlining the importance to entrepreneurs of taking some quiet time to think through things. He dives into several interesting topics within this including an excellent list of differences between key individuals founders should surround themselves with. Here’s How to Pitch Content Marketing to your Management Team

Like most marketers faced with a sometimes overly conservative management, I too had to find a way to pull out every stop to sell the value of content marketing and prove my case for implementing it. This meant I had to get my hands dirty with our website’s analytics and show them why we weren’t doing a good enough job getting visitors to our website and keeping them there; that lack of regular content and a fluid way of delivering it were contributing to the problem. What’s Keeping Mark Zuckerberg Up At Night?

It’s obvious that Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook, has been having trouble sleeping… particularly as of late. So much so that in one swoop he has taken the worlds most well known and easy-to-use social network and turned it into a complicated, convoluted mess. Now, before you jump at me for just joining in with the crowd of angry mom’s and confused teenagers, let me explain.

Facebook has seen success from two key factors in their business model. The first and most well known is that they launched only to a powerful niche: college students. How Do I Change My Facebook URL?

I wanted to share a quick tip for those who didn’t know and as a point of reference for my Personal Branding Has Never Been More Important series. Claiming your own personal Facebook URL is easy, but beware… you can’t change it after you’ve picked something. Standard Facebook URL’s are quite cumbersome and are followed by a bunch of random letters and numbers, this is far from professional and quite difficult to communicate in print branding (ex: business card, resume, etc.). You could say that I am as much to blame as the next guy for not living up to the title of this post. I haven’t written in this blog in over a year, for any number of convoluted excuses I can come up with… primarily because I’ve been “too busy”. Facebook vs. Twitter – Which for Your Business?

I’m often asked by friends, family and colleagues who own small businesses – “Is Facebook or Twitter better for my business?”.
